Meet Steve, your guide

The McKenzie River is Steve’s home water. With 20-plus years of guiding both novice and expert fly anglers on various Western Oregon rivers, he can arrange full or half-day fishing or scenic river trips for one or two guests, or coordinate trips for larger groups.

Steve focuses on catch-and-release fly fishing for wild rainbow and coastal cutthroat trout. He emphasizes dry fly fishing but is also experienced in nymph and streamer fishing and will readily adjust tactics to get you into fish. Steve also enjoys offering guests the opportunity to fly fish for Umpqua River smallmouth bass. He is a member of the McKenzie River Guides Association, and a Life-Member of Trout Unlimited.
